Dr. Jose A. Giron is a highly respected Infectious Disease specialist with over 43 years of clinical experience in the evaluation, management, and treatment of a wide range of infectious diseases. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Giron completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and went on to pursue a fellowship in Infectious Diseases, following his deep passion for caring for patients with complex and advanced infections.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Giron has conducted extensive clinical research trials and has made significant contributions to the field through numerous publications. His work, particularly in the management of HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and infections in immunocompromised patients, is widely cited and recognized by peers nationwide.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Giron is also a dedicated educator, actively teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. He is known for his compassionate approach, integrity, and commitment to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to every patient.
Dr. Giron is fluent in English and Spanish and is proud to serve the Orlando community at Sunshine Specialty Health Care.

Dr. Johana Santiago Torres is a proud Puerto Rican bilingual physician whose primary language is Spanish. She earned her medical degree from La Universidad Autónoma de México and brings over ten years of experience in primary care.
Before joining Sunshine Specialty Health Care, Dr. Santiago practiced in Haines City, Florida, where she specialized in geriatric medicine and weight management. Her deep compassion for patients, combined with her clinical expertise, allows her to deliver personalized and holistic care.
Dr. Santiago is a dog mom with a flair for fashion and home décor. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, but her true passion shines through during the week when she’s caring for her patients. She lives by her oath to heal and does so with empathy and dedication every single day.

Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda began her medical journey at one of India’s premier medical institutions. Following her graduation from medical school, she moved to the United States to pursue advanced training, completing a rigorous three-year Internal Medicine Residency at Lankenau Medical Center, part of Main Line Health in Philadelphia, PA.
After gaining valuable experience as a Hospitalist for seven years, Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda pursued her passion for rheumatology by joining the Rheumatology Clinic at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.Duirng her Three years there, she developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatologic conditions.
Eager to deepen her expertise, Dr. Nandikonda pursued additioanl Two year fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Central Florida/HCA Florida Healthcare/VA Medical Center in Lake Nona, Orlando,Florida—one of the top programs in the country. Over the course of her two-year fellowship, she trained under a distinguished group of rheumatologists, gaining comprehensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Nandikonda presented her work at national conferences like CCR(Congress of Clinical Rheumatology) and FSR(Florida Society of Rheumatology).She is also member of professional organization like ACR(American College of Rheumatology) and AWIR(Association of Woman In Rheumatology)
Dr. Nandikonda has a special interest and extensive experience in complex autoimmune diagnostics, including ordering and interpreting intricate autoimmune panels. She is skilled in diagnosing and managing challenging rheumatologic diseases with the latest, evidence-based treatment approaches. She also specializes in trigger point injections, has expertise in joint injections, and is experienced in prescribing and managing biologic infusions.
Her collaborative work with specialists across disciplines enhances patient outcomes. She partners with pulmonologists in the management of interstitial lung disease, vascular surgeons for biopsies essential to diagnosing vasculitis and polymyalgia rheumatica, and oncologists to co-manage autoimmune conditions in cancer patients. She also values the continued support and collaboration with her fellow rheumatology colleagues, which contributes to high-level, patient-centered care and decision-making in complex cases.
During her free time, Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, cooking and baking, and going fishing with her two sons.

Dr. Elysee Edmond is a Florida-licensed Resident/HSE Physician, Board-Certified Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, and healthcare leader with more than 20 years of clinical, public health, community health, behavioral health/mental, and healthcare management experience in the United States and internationally. He provides comprehensive primary care, family medicine, infectious disease management, telehealth services, and preventive healthcare, with extensive experience serving underserved, minority, and high-need populations.
Dr. Edmond earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in Haiti and holds a Master of Public Administration in Healthcare Management. He maintains multiple professional licenses in Florida, Arizona, and Puerto Rico. Throughout his distinguished career, he has worked across diverse healthcare settings, including primary care, infectious disease, home health, rehabilitation, behavioral health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and community outreach programs.
Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, with conversational proficiency in Spanish, Dr. Edmond is widely recognized for his dedication to patient-centered care, health education, cultural competence, and expanding healthcare access for diverse communities.
Beyond his healthcare career, Dr. Edmond is an accomplished musician and educator. He plays and teaches piano, bass guitar, guitar, and voice, and serves as the director and conductor of five youth and adult choirs in Florida. He also provides NCLEX review courses for graduates of LPN and RN programs who are preparing for licensure examinations.
